The combination of appealing leads, killer chemistry, and a banging soundtrack makes Pretty Woman a highly enjoyable film. The story is obviously a bit far-fetched, but who cares? It's a movie. I watch movies to be entertained and to enjoy well-told stories, and Pretty Woman certainly works on both fronts.

As she was 22-years old starring in this film. That she plays hooker with a heart of gold street smart Vivian and Richard Gere is rich Edward a divorced business tycoon there. More married to his job there than life.

And that he allows her to stay for a week and pay her $3K to be like a partner of his technically. But they develop into that over in chemistry and really show true love.

Seeing it all is the late Garry Marshall's favorite actor who has been in every one of his films there, Hector Elizondo and how he is the glue to helping them both there.

As the head of the hotel there. And that really he got a huge big break there. It made Julia a star and revived Richard Gere's career there after series of flops.

The movie that made Julia Roberts a star and brought hope to hookers everywhere.

Many condemned this movie as an irresponsible and inappropriate Cinderella fantasy, only proving how stupid they were to take a movie like this seriously enough to protest in the first place.

Hell, if hookers actually looked like Julia Roberts, I might be tempted to dabble in the flesh trade myself. Unfortunatelty, most of them look more like Jason Alexander.

Entertaining, harmless and mostly forgettable.
