Family friendly film.

I found the film to be excellent with the cast, even Steve coogan underplaying his usual self.sally Hawkins Carrys the film and Stephen frears gives the actor plenty of screen time.there has been a lot of naysayers both on social media and in the news.about the journalistic licence given to the storyline.ok so the Leicester university was set up yo be the bad guys with Lee ingleby being singled out,but what they miss it's only a film, and it where myself being shown in a bad light I too wouldn't be happy, but let's call up another success for the British film industry, along with Mrs Harris we might not manage hollywoods output but we have heart to our films.

Great acting, easy watch. Heartwarming

This feels very stereotypically English, I'm unsure how other countries would view this especially if they weren't into history etc. I know our humour translates well, whilst there are funny moments I'd say it's more of a sweet film, natural family dynamic with a twist and a woman who's been unfairly treated as a result of an invisible illness which is very important to get across. It's very easy to challenge or criticise someone when you don't know the full picture, to many she seemed crazy, when that was overcome she was then seen as someone to disrespect and control and exploit. There were some good moving parts here, some things that are very real and common issues in the UK.

Whilst the story is a bit niche maybe it's one I had some awareness of and found it interesting just from curiosity. The apparition I thought was a nice twist especially as it followed the rule of never guiding her with any information she didn't already know.

It's a really enjoyable film, the brunt of the acting done by Sally who was perfect in this, the only thing I like to see is bad people get their comeuppance but I guess it fits that she was above that.

Great watch that sadly I'm not sure enough will see until it's on tv.

Very enjoyable

I went to see this movie on a whim not knowing much about it at all. I vaguely remembered the story appearing in the news some years ago. Sally Hawkins turns in a moving performance as Philippa Langley. The inclusion of her "visions" of Kind Richard could have been badly handled but here it lends both humour and pathos and its a nice touch. This movie was an unexpected pleasure and brought a tear to my eye more than once. Philippa's passion is inspiring and this is as much a story of the woman herself as it is about the discovery of Kind Richard.

It is clear that the writers take much creative licence with the story, which appears to take place in a matter on months but no doubt took years of research in reality. This kind of thing is to be expected with any dramatisation of reality. I'm sure the University of Leicester will have a lot more issue with the creative licence taken than I do as they don't come out of it looking at all good! However, the story is told from the perspective of Philippa Langley, and having since watched some real footage following the discovery of King Richards remains, it is clear to see she was sidelined and undermined and so it is nice to see her side of the story.
