Tiku Weds Sheru (2023) : Movie Review -

Tikh Weds Sheru marks the collaboration between Kangana Ranaut and Sai Kabir after their disastrous outing "Revolver Rani". While some might have thought that this collaboration would bring something better this time, the final output will make you slap yourself for even having that thought. Tiku Weds Sheru is anything but cinema. Kangana might have thought of the title from her superhit series "Tanu Weds Manu" and "Tanu Weds Manu Returns", which have also been her last hit projects, to create a certain awareness amongst the viewers. However, Tiku Weds Sheru ends up being a nightmare for the "So Weds So" title unit. Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur's romantic comedy is an embarrassment for the rom-com genre and for anything called a decent cinema.

Sheru (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) is a struggling junior artist with the attitude of Shah Rukh Khan, who is also a part-time pimp. He gets a marriage proposal from Bhopal, and he is mesmerised by seeing a picture of a girl named Tiku (Avneet Kaur). Tiku says no to marriage in their first meeting but later says Yes since she wants to fly away from her hellhouse while her boyfriend awaits her in Mumbai. Tiku uses Sheru so that she can go to Mumbai, but soon after reaching there, she realises that she is pregnant with her boyfriend, who happens to be married already. Heartbroken Tiku attempts suicide but survives, and then Sheru also abandons her. It's a short-term fight, though, as Sheru has no problems with somebody else's child and is ready to accept Tiku as his wife for a lifetime. Tiku and Sheru fall in love, but their happy life is destroyed soon after the child's birth as Sheru gets what was due, and then Tiku finds life hard. From callgirl to casting couch, she goes through inappropriate situations as she realises how much Sheru loves her.

While reading the above paragraph, you might have fallen asleep, I assume. If not, then I am sure this unbearable screenplay will force you to pass out on your seat or sofa. The only medicine that can save you from trauma is "The End". Nawaz kept saying lies and lauding them as "facts" - believe me, you need that kind of attitude and courage in your life to go through this torturous rom-com. It's a cheap, trashy, B-grade, and unimaginably shoddy script that should have been burned and had a cake-cutting celebration instead of a wrap-up party. How can someone approve such a baleful watch? Every single character is fake and childish. It's rubbish that they have to carry their insufferable bearings for almost 110 minutes. The screenplay is shot dead in the first 15 minutes, and then its body is brought to the paper after dissection in post mortem. What were those shuddh Hindi abuses for? Tiku keeps telling me that she belongs to 'Sharif Khandaan,' but tell me, which decent family girl uses shuddh Hindi gaalis and marries a man whom she doesn't love, and that too after having a boyfriend and being pregnant? Her character was not even 1% sharif, and so was Nawaz, who carried that Ambani-style attitude throughout the film.

I would have loved to skip the talk on performances, as I didn't find anything called 'acting'. Rather, I saw Nawazuddin Siddiqui in one of his worst-acted roles ever. Imagine that Nawazuddin Siddiqui got such an embarrassing role and had to perform it in front of the camera. Never in my life would I have imagined that one of the finest actors of his time would be turned into a waste like this. On the other side, Avneet Kaur looks gorgeous and sexy, but there is nothing called acting there. Those abuses sounded so ghastly from her mouth, and her face indicated nothing but cuteness. She is made a call girl, a struggling actress, an unsuccessful wife, and an immature girlfriend, and she struggles in all varieties. Nawaz is even made a panzy-such a disgrace. That homosexual angle had me on my nerves. The entire supporting cast is a huge disaster. Mukesh Bhatt, Zakir Hussain, Vipin Sharma, Rahoul, Suresh Vishwakarma, Khushi Bhardwaj, and Ghanshyam Garg-what were you guys doing?

Coming to music, Tiku Weds Sheru has songs that don't harm your ears but add more boredom to the visual show. The lyrics are meaningless because the scenes that are going on don't suit them. Tiku Weds Sheru is a badly shot film. The cinematography is on the level of auditions for reality singing/dancing shows. The background score is okay, while the editing is terrible. The biggest harm to Tiku Weds Sheru is done by Sai Kabir's horrible direction. This is not a comedy, man; this is a joke. This is not romance, buddy; this is a cheap skin show. Once in a while you get a film that goes wrong on every front, from acting, writing, editing, dialogues, production value, and direction, and Tiku Weds Sheru is that decent-budget film of the season. As a whole, it's yet another disaster for Kangana Ranaut, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Prime Video. Let's rename it "Crap Weds Clod".

Despite of the negative criticism on social media, I was eager to watch this movie at least once because I was convinced by the trailer of the movie. Also, presence of Nawaz was a hope that the movie would be an interesting one.

It is the sheer lack of self-respect the characters of this movie portray, I felt tortured in whatever scenes of the movie I jumped to because I could not tolerate any one scene. Acting seemed decent, thanks to the presence of so many seasoned actors, but the scenes were badly scripted in my opinion. In this age of cinema choices, I would not recommend anyone to waste their time on it.

This is a movie where Nawazuddin hams throughout the movie and tries to be a character where the character itself is half baked. Don't understand why an actor like Nawaz is doing such movies and destroying his hard built reputation.

Direction is awful and you don't feel any emotion between the main leads. The story just roams around one plot to another and there is no coherence in scenes, guess director just wanted to waste Nawaz and show him kissing desperately a girl with a age gap of 28 yrs.

Don't know why Kangana produced this movie I guess she doesn't follow what she preach 2nd disaster after her own movie.

Only a handful of good movie are.direct to OTT and rest of garbage like this is being dumped on as well in name of entertainment.

Amazon needs to be selective in terms of OTT movies.

This one is one hell of a garbage, stay off.
