I very much wanted to like this western from Hollywood outsiders Daily Wire and Gina Carano.
Unfortunately, the plot is irritatingly dumb. Every decision made by each and every character in Terror on the Prairie only makes sense if everyone in the film is an idiot.
It's frustrating and laughable, and you'll spend much of the runtime shouting at your screen: "Shoot him, you idiot!" Spoilers: She doesn't.
There is a simple enough story of Western style vengeance running underneath everything and driving the main action, but as it slowly unfolds we can hardly muster any will to care about it. A character will be dutifully reciting his requisite backstory, while all we can think is: "Someone should have shot you a long time ago."
I will continue to support Daily Wire and Carano in all their endeavors, but this is a terrible film.

Embarrassing and Frustrating
Yup its bad even if you want to like it
What were they thinking? I like Gina Carano but why is she cast in this role? Why was this movie so dull and generic? It seems like most reviewers here like the Daily Wire and wanted to like the movie like myself, but the honesty and reason that comes with being a Daily Wire fan and truth teller means its impossible for anyone to give this a good review even as fans going in. If you saw the trailer and thought "Huh? Gina Carano? In this? Looks pretty lame..." then you've seen the whole movie. I like most of the other Daily Wire movies a lot, what a disappointment.
Wanted to love it but couldn't. A disappointment.
Seen all the DW films so far. Some are good, some are disappointing. This is one of the latter.
Don't get me wrong, there is a film to be made here, Gina Carrano, Montana, revenge western.....sounds great. Unfortunately, its a bit boring and characters aren't completely fleshed out, everyone is a bad shot, the story makes no sense and it just plods to its inevitable conclusion.
Gina is great, cinematography is beautiful, but that's all. Might have been better to have Gina pick them off one by one after Cerrone gets killed rather than everything taking place in a badly lit, dingy shack.
makes no sense to invite guest to yr house and kick them out the next minute. why bother to invite them in the first place?
Let me spare all of you some pain and definitely some time. This movie as a whole is extremely poorly written, performed, cheap actors, welfare budget and more. I downloaded it, watched it (thank god for the fast forward feature) and realized after the first 10-15 minutes that it was a waste of my precious time. too painful to watch. the year 2022 will down in history as the worst year for movies.
Movie critics review can kiss my ass. They have lost any credibility they have left after refusing to review What Is A Woman. I only check for audience score.

Sad to see so many fake reviews because they hate seeing a woman in a leading role in a Western. This wasn't a bad movie, and the acting was just fine. Any "review" saying otherwise are just terrible people being terrible.

i normally enjoy Gina Carano's work but this one i turned off about halfway through. the acting was okay but the ridiculous plot had me wishing it was better. how is it possible that everyone in this movie is such a bad shot? one would think that veterans of the Civil War could at least hit the broad side of a barn. and how do you miss a point-blank shot with a shotgun? it beggars credulity. disappointed.

Very nice cinematography, good acting, good directing, but ... the whole story is full of holes and illogical behaviour so it doesn't hold as reasonable. It's a pity that the producers or the writers didn't make the plot more reasonable. My mark is 5/10.
I had to turn it off. It's so bad. The characters make such strange descisions that it makes your jaw drop. Only reason I downloaded it was that it had 7.0 on IMDB, which isn't bad. So it puzzled me that a terrible movie like this one has such a high score on IMDB. Then I looked it up and read about the Daily Wire, of which I hadn't heard before. Anyhow, the movie sucks. It's inconsistent, the acting is bad and the characters make very very strange choices.
Very much enjoyed this movie.

Not seen a western since the hateful eight. But seen around 30 superhero movies. Ironic that the people that clap for them complain. Having a female/black lead does not make it woke. See examples: Aliens, Beverly Hills Cop, Blade, Labyrinth etc. Script writers/producers etc Inserting their far-left identity politics along the lines of gender and race. And putting it above story, lore and origin does make it woke. If facts lead you to insult someone cry more! You don't prove anyone wrong.
Not the greatest movie ever, but not bad either. 6.5 or 7/10 for sure.

Fast and most of the acting is really good. It'll get bad reviews by people who are happy Gina got kicked off the Mandalorian but it's not nearly as bad as they say it is
